Pink days

Pink. Yum yum yum. I have a penchant for pastel colours, especially Easter egg colours-pretty pinks, baby blues and of course yummy yellow. Philosophy AW11, Jeremy Scott, AW11, Meadham Kirchhoff SS12 all feature these delicious bright colours. Whether you're going for a 60's mod look or a more Kawaii look, these colours are a must in ones wardrobe. So with a lust for these colours and a need for a new coat, I bought the Topshop 60's inspired Long Faux Fur Textured Coat. I feel like a walking teddy bear whilst wearing it-or perhaps a walking blanket (for it is rather warm). I went for a more kawaii look paired with a tied bow and Dr Martins. Next time a more 60's look is needed, especially when the the lovely Handbag Heaven sent me this gorgeous red satchel. So look forward to an outfit post featuring the satchel.

Christmas Shopping. Oh the stress. To avoid the stress I got up at 8am on a Saturday (the girl who normally gets up between 12 and 1). I popped into ZARA whilst shopping to have a quick browse, and was pleasantly surprised. Normally, I find the prices are a bit too steep. However, it was completely different-some shirts priced at £22.95 (and very fabulous shirts). A dreamlike glittering sea of futuristic floral prints, with floating chiffon sequined here and there. Sadly, I was not equipped with enough money- but Christmas sales here I come. Look out for an outfit post next.

Still as can be

Slide1-blog post Reason for temperamental blogging= Mocks. I hate mocks. So thank God they're over! A long two weeks of revision and exams. As a reward I treated myself to the joys of shopping, it's been too long since I mused over garments, accessories and blogs. So I've prepared a little Christmas list (as above-and yes I still do a Christmas list...). So basically I'm back! I've got a giveaway in store and many reviews. (Plus I'm scheduling the posts, so seriously do keep a look out!)

When time Crystalizes

P1120653 P1120669 P1120652 P1120672 Finally it's Friday, yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! Now as you may have noticed I've been a bit temperamental with blogging, so I've decided to change my ways, i.e drafted posts from the weekend. Anyhow, the lovely Luxury Clutches, sent me this gorgeous satin diamante weave clutch bag. The quality is absolutely beautiful- I feel a bit like a 1950's movie star walking around with it *slyly flicks hair, like a 1950's movie star*. Crystals have been a key trend over the last few months and still are. So the clutch pairs perfectly with heaps of accessories, and also garments. Think of metallics, whilst the shape complements AW11 AND SS12 oriental prints. So where better to take the photos than a graveyard? Now it may sound like a bit of weird juxtaposition, well to be honest that was the whole point! Shimmering crystals and satin, against rough and distressed gravestones. Fabulous. There are so many styling options with just anything, including the clutch. So why not go the full mile, and check out their other clutches, such as a completely diamante covered clutch? Think of all the kitsch looks you could create, in class!

Jacket- Miss Selfridge, Bouse-Charity shop, harems- Motel ( haven't warn them in ages! Reminded me of the oriental print trend), Scarf- 'hand-me-down', bag-belongs to my mum!, socks-Topshop, shoes-The Nature Shop

I have been wrapped up in bed the last few days- and if being ill isn't enough torture, I've had to revise for a maths exam at the same time. School at the moment is chaotic, and so has effected the way I currently dress. Now I may begin to sound a bit pretentious, but sadly it's the truth. I've taken on a more hippy dippy and relaxed vibes when styling outfits, to contrast against the busy school life. Though luckily for me The Nature Shop, sent me these cute shoes---totally work with the relaxed vibes. Now, I couldn't help but think of Comme Des Garcons and Yohji Yamamoto when they arrived. Not only that, Miu Miu's sparkled shoe collection, contains similar styled trainers. So trainers at the moment are becoming quite the trend. Pop-culture too favours trainers at the  moment, with high school vibes and trends referenced through many blogs and magazines. And as if you couldn't get any more trendier, the shoes are  eco friendly! All the products are nature inspired , and 10% profit goes to charitable donations to the World Wildlife Fund, donations to kids charities (Heart Children and Canteen) and carbon credits purchased to achieve their carboNZero certification. There are a range of products to choose from:clothing, loafers, boots to sandals etc etc. Plus the brands to choose from are fabulous, they sell a large range of women's winter boots, including brands such as Keen, Teva, Merrell, Chaco, and Timberland. I'd say winter boots are a definite must have in Novemeber chills.  So just to tempt you a bit more into buying a pair of shoes, there is FREE next day shipping! So what you waiting for? Simply take a look, you'd be untrendy not to.

Diamond crusted

Raw, kitsch and full of bling- Versace for H&M. Sounds perfect. I have been eagerly anticipating the collection for God knows how long, and finally we're in the month of the launch date (!!!!!). The collections consists of greek, oriental and harajuku inspired cuts, styles and prints. Whilst it still remains sophisticated yet quirky. Whether your looking for a black dress or the full Donatella shebang, it's there. Not only that, it's a fabulous investment, oriental prints were all over the SS12 catwalk (e.g Stall McCartney). However, I must admit the prices are still a bit steap-£99.99 for a dress. Anyhow, Starting to sound a bit too much like a sales person here, and currently falling asleep whilst typing. I've even managed to spill BLACK paint over my final art piece. Literally, I cannot stress how busy I have been with school..work,work, work! (Sorry for the badly written post, in a a bit of a stressy and exhausted state). So for now have a great week! Izzy xo

Autumn Dazed

Dress- UO, Bag-UO, Skirt- Grandma's, Socks-Topshop, Creepers-Underground, TurtleNeck-Handmedown, Hairband-Primark
There's been so much to blog about recently, but there hasn't been so much time. Though finally half-term has arrived, which means lots of going out (so many more outfit posts to come!). Recently, I've had an obsession for 1960/70's hippy vibes ( a bit of Mia Farrow!) mixed with the kitsch high- school trend. The tartan skirt is definitely going to be a key winter wardrobe piece- whether it be a country heritage look or punk inspired look.  Talking of the 1960/70's I managed to pick a kaftan up from a charity shop for £14 ( a bit more than I'd usually pay), but everywhere else seems to have decided to rip the nation off...but hey. Look out for mood boards coming up, as my friend Chloe and I are really going ahead with out t-shirt company- who knows some freebies maybe on the way! Izzy xo

Excuse the rather ill look on my face...blurgh
Tartan, a timeless trend. It somehow pops up every season. Vivienne Westwood may come to mind with the punk era- or maybe plaid country heritage. So with that in mind, I went all out with tartan (I felt tempted to wear my tartan tights, but I think I would have got one look too many...maybe next time!) To contrast with the English heritage vibes, I decided to wear my 70's platform boots. I tend to clunk around in them considering they're a size too big, but it's worth it for the price of $5! Look forward to the next post, and the next- I've got them planned already (for once!)

Blurred Georgian Dreams

Finally Autumn has arrived. However, the English weather at the moment is currently very bipolar- hot, cold, hot, cold, etc, etc. I decided to dress in more autumn tones today, purples and browns, something a bit more 'chic' than usual. I'm currently obsessed with classics and period drama, such as Downton Abbey (can't way for Sunday's episode!) and classic like Tess of the durbevilles. Perhaps that has led to a more neat and polished look? On the other hand, I've been in love with the band Wolf Gang. Max McElligot the lead singer is JUST fab *teen squeal moment* (plus going to see them in less than two weeks, anyway enough on that!). So with all of that in mind, I ventured to Chiswick Park with my friend Amy. Chiswick Park is scattered with georgian styled buildings and sculptures, hence why it was mentioned in films such as 'The Duchess'.
Plus a big thank you, we've reached over 700 (!!!!).

Mother prom Queen

I said there was Meaham Kirchhoff inspired posts to come and her it is. Burn out prom Queen vibes galore. Though I did try not to be just a one trick pony and edge towards more Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood with their organic vibes (mainly just the fishnet socks, but it does the job). I'm a yummy colouroholic at the moment spurred on by Philosophy AW11. Not only that, just think of all the Harajuku style trends and ironic neon religious iconography. In more of a pop-culture reference, I have been listing to Nikki &the Dove all week. Her electric vibes just make you think of a candy cosmo wonderland, and life couldn't be better than that.

Where to go

Shoes- Vintage, Trousers- H&M, Shirt- by me, Dress-Asos

First of all VERY sorry for the bad qaulity o fthe photos- my camera decided to die on me. SS12 shows are well under way, and it has started a well deserved chain reaction through the blogosphere- including here. Meadham Kirchhoff  SS12 was more of a theatrical performance than a fashion show, and I loved it. The balloons, Courtney Love look- a- likes, and of course the candy colours (all have caused a  Meadham Kirchhoff chain reaction here). Candy colours were a massive source of inspiration; canary yellows, pretty pinks and lickerish stripes. I decided to the edit the photos with girly and pastel coloured aspects, such as flowers with reference to the yummy colours.

I'm feeling a homage to Meadham Kirchoff coming up.

Just a little inspiration post and update. Whilst in new york I came across the fabulous magazine: SOUP. Full of conceptional photography. So here are a few of my fave pieces. The last photo is just a quick photo of my friend and I on the weekend. I have been so busy being out and about, and working on top of it all- that I've had no time to blog! Don't worry it's going to change- SS12 reviews coming up, and many outfit posts. Any thoughts just email me, Izzy xo

Many Brands always say that there's something you, and there really is something for you and everybody in the Alexander Wang SS12 Collection. I have been waiting impatiently for the SS12 shows for a good month now, and Alexander Wang as usual has been worth the wait. The show started with mesh, and bondage like pockets- and then progressed through techno flower prints to geometric prints to tribal like prints. Now you may be thinking it was a bit of a schizophrenic show, but there was logic and inspiration- Bikers (NASCAR, BMX, motocross). Each ride of progression represented different 'gang's, and in actual fact the tribal prints were maps of the stadium- clever stuff Mr Wang. The highlight tfor me was the bandannas...bandannas are back! The 90's has been a trend for a good half of the year, but the daring bandanna has been left out ( so seriously get your 90's claire's accessories bandannas out!) Plus I'm proud to say while writing this, I'm wearing a mesh like shirt! Blogging should be back to a normal pace now, as term has started. The comments will be disabled on this post, as i've got lots and lots of replying to do- but ooh out for a new post in the next few days!

Remaining Scales

Hat, skirt, Jumper- Forever 21 (I had a little shopping spree there to say the least!), shrug-Topshop, Socks-ASOS, Shoes- Thrift store

Apart from being absolutely shattered from holiday, I have the daunting reality of school looming round the corner- and of course I've left all my summer work till the weekend before. On a more fashion related note, I have somehow become warmly attached to deep and rich browns-making no sense, considering my uniform is as brown as a tree trunk (and number twos). Brown being a key AW11 colour makes wearing my school uniform a bit more bearable, so maybe I shall think of this outfit as a warm up for school? Or maybe I wore it to compliment the surrounding, considering it is all deep reds and browns? The brown leathers are the key pieces to fall in love with- whether it be shorts, some Phillip Lim styled trousers, or a satchel. Talking of leathers, check out my shoes... I got them for $5 at a thrift store in America- they are my new little babies. Brown has been a big favourite, appearing in Prada, Acne, Miu Miu and so on. If brown's too bland, go for orange to match with jazzy emerald shades. Even though it just feels as if Autumn is looming; SS12 collections appear this upcoming Friday with New York Fashion week! Which collection you looking forward to? Would love to hear you opinions, comment and let me know.
